The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in
European trading Friday afternoon. Gold fell.
The
euro traded at $1.2705, down from $1.2899 late Wednesday in New York.
U.S. markets were closed Thursday for a
holiday.
Other dollar rates:

Japanese yen, down from 95.73
-1.2141 Swiss francs,
up from 1.2035
-1.2356 Canadian dollars, up from
1.2271
